Pender Public Schools has identified a suspected case of mumps today, Friday, August 30, 2019. This case has NOT been confirmed. Testing has taken place and the results will be confirmed in 1-4 days. School personnel have and will continue to take precautions within the building to help prevent the virus from spreading. Please do not send your child to school if they exhibit signs and symptoms of the mumps. Public Health officials encourage you not to panic, but rather be proactive, communicate any concerns, and take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
