As a reminder, in order for students to participate in the activities planned for August 21 when the solar eclipse occurs, the letter mailed to parents on August 3, 2017 must be signed and turned in. This is an extremely unique opportunity, and we hope to make the most of it. Parents are more than welcome to attend the eclipse activities in Pender at Heyne Field for K-3rd and 9th-12th grade students. Since 4th-8th grade students are traveling to Lincoln for the eclipse, parent participation is unfortunately not possible. There are risks associated with participation in the solar eclipse activities. Parents are encouraged to carefully consider whether or not it is appropriate for their child or children to participate. Again, in order for students to participate, the letter sent to parents on August 3, 2017 must be signed and returned to the school. Thank you and please contact school personnel for more information or if you have any questions.
