PPS will be closed from March 18 through April 3. School will hopefully resume on April 6. This letter talks about the District's plan for students while the building is closed to all people except employees. Hang in there everyone! Remember...It's a Great Day to be a Pendragon!!


Elementary parents - If your student is not in session today their devices and enrichment packets need to be picked up from the office tomorrow before 8:30 am or from 10 am - 4:00 pm. Thank you!

There will be no HAL Program or After School Program today, Tuesday, March 17th.

The blood drive for Tuesday, March 17 has been relocated to the mobile bus. The bus will be parked by the Pender football field from 9:30am-2:30pm. Thank you for your cooperation with this change in schedule. Blood drives across the country are getting canceled because of COVID-19 and the need for blood still exists. Please take time to donate if you can!

This message is to announce the closure of Pender Public Schools from March 18 through April 3 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, the plan is to resume school on April 6. Time will tell if that will happen or not. School will be in session tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17.


The before school weight room sessions (6:30 & 7:30 am) will be closed until further notice.

The NSAA has suspended all practices and competitions for spring sports. Practice is scheduled to resume on March 30th, competitions on April 2nd. Please read the statement from the NSAA:

3/16/20 Effective immediately PPS will only allow individuals into the school buildings essential to the learning process. The main office has been instructed as to who these individuals are. If you have questions please call before you come to school. PPS administration is constantly monitoring the situation and will continue to keep everyone informed as best it can.

The baseball game scheduled for Saturday, March 21st vs Central City has been postponed.

The FFA Labor Auction scheduled for Monday, March 16th has been postponed until further notice.

The baseball game vs SSC on Thursday March 19th has been postponed until further notice.

The NSAA has announced that they will suspend district and state Speech competitions until further notice. They will evaluate potential alternatives and keep the schools updated.
