We are back for another "Who's Who" this week. Number 20 was Mrs. Athey.
It’s time for a brain turning “Who’s Who’’ in Pender Schools. This new edition is going to make you stumble. This Pender “stafflight” has worked here for 13 years and used to work at an insurance agency and a shipping department at an online store. To add on, she even used to babysit. She sure has a lot of experience!
Outside of school, this ‘’Who’s Who‘’ likes to garden, scrapbook and spend time with family and friends in Okoboji. She also likes to see new places and experience new things, but she can’t imagine doing any other job in the world. She loves working with students and seeing them succeed and grow.
While in high school at Odebolt-Arthur School, this most wanted teacher was involved in volleyball, basketball, track, golf and mock-trial. One of her favorite school memories is when she went on an an overnight field trip to explore living history. How cool would that be! After high school, this staff spotlight went to Wayne State College.
We hope her students learn to be extra honest because her pet peeve is dishonesty. From all the hints and clues of this staff spotlight’s story, you better guess who she is to get to the finish line in “homework-opoly.”
