Parents, your help is needed!!! You may or may not know, but Pender Public Schools is offering a summer food program this summer. The program begins May 29 and will continue throughout the summer months, with the last day being August 3. Both breakfast and lunch will be served every weekday except for holidays. Those that are between the ages of 1 and 18 are able to eat breakfast, lunch, or both for FREE!! Anyone who is over the age of 18 can participate as well for $3 per breakfast and $4 per lunch. PPS is encouraging anyone who is interested to participate! Those that participate are not required to be PPS students. In other words, anyone can participate!!!
In order to get a feel for how much food needs to be prepared on a daily basis, we are looking for your help. A survey has been created to help determine the number of kids that are interested in the program. Below is a QR code that is linked to the survey. The survey link is shown below as well. If you would, please take a few minutes to complete the survey regardless of whether or not your child or children plan to participate.
As is mentioned above, PPS is encouraging people to participate in this program. It is a good program for the school district, and we hope it is a positive program for the community as well.
